What music do I need during my ceremony?

The most important thing to remember when selecting music for your ceremony is that your ceremony should be a reflection of your tastes, and it can be as formal or as casual as you like. That being said, there are a couple of spots during a traditional wedding ceremony you’ll most likely want to have music for:

  • As your guests are seating themselves or being ushered to their seats before the ceremony

    • You may want a special song for the mothers or fathers as they come down the aisle

  • As the bridal party enters/comes down the aisle

  • As the bride comes down the aisle and the guests rise

  • Unity ceremony (unity candle, sand ceremony, etc.)

  • Recessional (as the bridal party/bride and groom walk back down the aisle)

  • As the guests mingle and leave

Traditionally, ceremonies used to be only instrumental or classical music - but this is your day! Feel free to make it your own. Not sure which way to go? Consider a mix of both instrumental and modern music. Perhaps consider all instrumental versions of the latest hits.

Infinity Play Entertainment offers ceremony coverage as an add-on to any of our wedding packages. As a part of our services, we’ll go over these ceremony parts during our one-on-one consultation to ensure that you have exactly the songs you want played during your ceremony.
